Kernel rig: the plate with a hole through its arc side shells open at its far end

SMLib's merge now intersects the offsets of an edge's faces where they could not be mated along
it (the hole's offset poking out through the half-round side's; tangency-labs/solidcore#1795):
one closed valid solid with the one face open, as the owner ruled.
